Trump Surprises G20 With Huawei Concession: U.S. Companies Can Sell To Huawei

Earlier today in a press conference after the G20 meeting in Tokyo, President Trump revealed an updated stance on Huawei. While it’s not a lifting of the blanket ban, it will significantly benefit the Chinese manufacturer.

As part of the continuing trade negotiations, the issue of Huawei would be saved until the end of the trade talks, with President Trump saying, We’ll have to save that to the very end, we’ll have to see.”

In other words, the question of lifting the ban on Huawei selling its products, which include smartphones, laptops and communications infrastructure technologies, to the U.S. has not been changed.

The more interesting element was the next comment from the President.

and nobody has been able to compete with it, and I’ve agreed and pretty easily, I’ve agreed to allow them to continue to sell that product. So American companies will continue and they were having a problem, the companies were not exactly happy that they couldn’t sell because they had nothing to do with whatever it was potentially happening with respect to Huawei, so I did do that.

You could almost hear the sighs of relief wafting across the oceans from the “incredible” Silicon Valley. It means that hardware components from companies such as Intel and Micron can know that they can continue to sell to Huawei.

Not to mention the palpable relief from China as Huawei knows its supply of components isn’t about to dry up.

Trump focused on hardware but it also means that Google will be able to continue to supply Huawei with Android. In recent days, Huawei revealed that its latest handsets will be able to access Android Q. This is the next version of operating software, due to be revealed this fall.

But this is a much bigger deal, suggesting that unless things change again – and who knows, right? – then customers of Huawei smartphones can buy with confidence. The compatibility with Android Q may be assured already but to know that subsequent versions with additional features will also work is a definite boost.

Red magic 3 : Review :the Gaming phone you have been waiting For

The Red Magic 3 is lightning fast, boasts a gorgeous big display, has loud dual speakers, and packs a huge battery. It even has a dedicated gaming switch on the side and an internal fan to keep you gaming for longer. It boasts a truly impressive spec sheet packed into a device that looks as though it just fell out of a space marine’s pocket, but the real magic trick here is that Nubia is offering the Red Magic 3 for just $479.

The Red Magic 3 is big. No, I mean really big. It makes the OnePlus 7 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 look small. It’s tall, it’s wide, and it’s really heavy at 215 grams. The metal construction gives it a solid, durable feel. Because it’s so big it can be tricky to handle. It really requires two hands, but I found it most comfortable to use when gaming, which seems fitting.

Chinese manufacturer Nubia, which started out as a subsidiary of ZTE, has refined the design here, but the Red Magic 3 still looks a lot like the original Red Magic . There’s the same angled, metal back with that LED strip down the middle and red highlights in the corners. There’s a hexagonal lozenge for the fingerprint sensor, but the camera lens above it is pentagonal this time around.

I don’t know exactly when RGB lighting strips and angular metal became an integral part of gaming, but the Red Magic 3 ticks all the boxes. My nine-year-old son thinks it’s the coolest phone he’s ever seen. The highlights aren’t just about the look either, most of them serve as vents for the internal fan and help to keep the temperature down.

Thankfully, Nubia has improved the finish, which we found chipped very easily in the original. The Red Magic 3 seems to be much harder wearing and the black paint job on my review unit still looks perfect after a week, though that anodized metal finish is still on the slippery side.

There’s a USB-C port on the bottom edge and a 3.5mm audio jack up top. The left side is home to a red, textured button that turns the dedicated gaming mode on or off, and there’s a row of pogo pins for accessories, including a dock which I didn’t get to try.

The original Red Magic phone made do with a 6-inch LCD screen with a standard refresh rate, but in the face of phones like the Razer Phone 2 which boasts a display with a 120Hz refresh rate, or the Asus ROG Phone with its 90Hz OLED panel, Nubia has made some improvements. The Red Magic 3 has a whopping 6.65-inch AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Not only is it the biggest screen we’ve seen in a gaming phone, it’s also really bright. The resolution is 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and it has a modern 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Action is smooth, whether you’re swiping through home screens, blowing away some alien scum in Shadowgun: Legends, or watching Childish Gambino dance through a YouTube video.

Pubg mobile Update: Server status down as tencent Relese 0.13.0

PUBG Mobile servers are down tonight as Tencent begins the update process to launch patch 0.13.0, which is set to bring massive changes to the game.

  The latest PUBG Mobile update is being released this week by Tencent, who will start the process by taking servers offline.

   Scheduled maintenance has been confirmed for the early morning of Tuesday, June 11, for both Android and iOS platforms.

   This will mean that PUBG Mobile will be unplayable until the maintenance has finished.

And Tencent has warned that the PUBG update that will follow this downtime is going to be big.

The support team has confirmed that gamers will need to have a certain amount of free space on their devices to make way for patch 0.13.0.

They have also warned that PUBG Mobile server downtime will begin at around 1am in the UK and could last up to eight hours.

Here’s more from the Tencent support team in a new statement that explains: “PUBG Mobile will be taken offline from 00:00:00 to 08:00:00 (UTC) on 11 June 2019 for maintenance.

“Please make sure your device has enough storage space for this update: 1.98 GB for Android and 2.45 GB on iOS.

“The new version will be available starting 12 June 2019. Update before 19 June 2019 to get Outfit Box III (7d) and 1,888 BP.”

Apple is getting roasted over its $ 1000 for a computer screen

For the past 20 minutes, various Apple executives had taken the stage to show off the new features of the Mac Pro, Apple’s most powerful computer ever, and one intended for professionals. Now, Ternus was back to reveal how much they were selling the beast of a computer for.

   The announcement of the price points for the Mac Pro and the Pro Display XDR monitor – starting at $US6,000 and $US5,000, respectively – were met with cheers and applause. But when it came time to debut the cost for the monitor stand, Ternus’s announcement received something rare for an Apple event – groans.

   That’s because the new Pro Stand is priced at $US999, which is as much as an iPhone XS . The murmurs rippling through the crowd were audible even on the event’s livestream, as was what sounded like the sole clap from someone in the audience. Even Ternus seemed to notice the murmurings, but he soldiered on with the rest of the announcement, including that the $US999 computer screen stand would be available to purchase this fall.

   But the reaction on social media to the $US999 stand echoed the sentiment inside the conference auditorium, with those following along via the livestream quickly chiming in to voice their displeasure. Users on Twitter and Reddit were taken aback by the $US1,000 price tag for a stand to hold an already-$US5,000 monitor (for the full package shown in the picture below, you’d have to fork over at least $US12,000).
